Today’s YOOtheme Pro 1.6 release is one you are really going to like :) It has the most wished for Pro feature on board: A WYSIWYG editor! But it doesn’t stop there. There are two new builder elements to make content creating more fun: the Table and the Countdown element. And of course, YOOtheme Pro 1.6 comes with a lot of improvements and bug fixes. All of this can be seen in action in our upcoming theme next week. Spoiler alert: It will be graphic-rich :) So, be excited!
Drum roll for the winners of this year’s 10 year anniversary competition! It has been overwhelming to receive so many exciting pictures from all over the world.
We are really impressed that our I♥YOO Logo traveled around to Australia, China, Russia, Italy and who knows where else. Some of the entries were so funny that they made us laugh out loud. Not everyone would dive into an icy lake (sorry we had to cut out your dog) or put on self-made YOOtheme swag. So, we had a hard time picking our favorite 10, but in the end we came to a choice. Congratulations to the winners! All ten of you win a membership and a special YOOtheme package. You will receive a notification by email today as well.
Many thanks again to everyone who joined this year’s I♥YOO contest. It made us very happy to see your love.
Since the launch of the first UIkit 3.0 beta version quite a lot of things have happened. We weren’t idle and worked like busy tech-bees on our modular front-end framework to improve its functionality. Yesterday, we just released the 21st beta version. We want to take this opportunity to highlight some of the additions and changes from the last few releases.
Time really does fly – nearly six months have passed since we released YOOtheme Pro to the public. A lot of upgrades, new additions and improvements have happened in the meantime. We just published our latest theme Copper Hill and today we are delighted to present version 1.5. We added style and alignment options for the Offcanvas and Modal header layouts, improved the Description List element and appended missing RTL stylesheets. Another innovation of the latest YOOtheme Pro version is the custom CSS field for builder elements.
This April we've got a tasty treat for you. Our new theme for Joomla and WordPress Copper Hill presents restaurants or any other business in an open, generous layout. It comes with new YOOtheme Pro 1.5 features, like an enhanced Description List element and a completely overhauled Offcanvas and Modal navigation. Fixed image sections and playful background illustrations mix up the light layout.
Two weeks after publishing our latest website Sonic we are very happy to announce the release of YOOtheme Pro 1.4. This version is a huge step forward. It comes with new elements that bring a lot of much demanded features from Widgetkit 2 into Pro: the Overlay, Gallery and Switcher elements. The Accordion element has been reworked and a bunch of handy new column options were added to Rows inside the builder. New site and admin localizations were added, making YOOtheme Pro available in more and more languages. Of course, many bugs were eliminated and minor improvements were made.
It's March and Spring is finally coming around the corner bringing fresh colors and Sonic, our latest theme release. Sonic comes with a clean but vibrant style, that features gradients on text and UI elements as well as layered background styles. A new topic and seven custom layouts cover the needs of any event website – in this case for a conference.
This year is our tenth birthday! 10 years! It's hard to believe – for some of us it feels as if it were yesterday that we launched YOOtheme in January 2007 with this post. A few of you may remember the Smoove theme, which was some kind of breakthrough for us. Ten years later the web has changed completely and we're grateful not just for having been around that long but also for being able to grow and create exciting stuff for Joomla and WordPress. We are proud to be part of their ecosystems and also of our own two Open Source projects UIkit and Pagekit. We look back at a decade full of releases, milestones and fond memories.
Last week we presented YOOtheme Pro 1.3. Apart from new features and bugfixes, this release also comes with German translations for the administration and the front-end. Of course, we want to make YOOtheme Pro available in more languages. This is where we need your support.
One day after the release of YOOtheme Pro 1.3 we'd like to present to you our newest theme Fjord. Apart from all the newest website builder features, it comes with a richer design and some enhanced Pro elements. With its vibrant colors, subtle gradients and textures, Fjord is perfect for magazine-like travel and adventure themed websites, but can also be used for any other web project.
