Today we are really excited to announce some cool new features coming with ZOO 3.2! Besides some stability improvements the main focuses of this update are Joomla ACL support and real front-end editing for items and comments. With the new ZOO 3.1 release the ZOOs apps now feature each a new UIkit template. This will make ZOO look awesome in our Warp 7 themes. The ZOO app will automatically adapt the style of the Warp 7 theme. All without writing a single line of code. Today we are glad to announce that Warp 6, Widgetkit and ZOO are Joomla 3.0 ready! Thanks to our Warp framework this means our 19 latest themes are immediately available for Joomla 3.0. The same goes for our popular Joomla extensions: Widgetkit 1.3 and ZOO 3.0! The Warp UI fits nicely in the Joomla administration. The release of Joomla 3.0 has also officially ended the Joomla 1.5 support. So we've dropped support for Joomla 1.5 in the latest Widgetkit 1.3 and ZOO 3.0 accordingly.

Today, with a bit of pride, we are happy to announce the release of our ZOO 2.4 BETA. As promised we worked hard the last weeks on making ZOO work with Joomla 1.6. And here it is running on both, Joomla 1.5 and 1.6! In this post will shed some light on the new Joomla 1.6 version and take a closer look at the new features.
Ready for Joomla 1.6
We had already plans to make a major overhaul to ZOOs underlying framework with the 2.4 release to increase its flexibility. So it was the perfect time to take it for a test drive with Joomla 1.6. To achieve compatible with both Joomla versions we added a new abstraction layer between Joomla and the ZOO. This makes it possible to have the same ZOO version running on Joomla 1.5 and 1.6. This means all functionalities of ZOO for Joomla 1.5 are also available in ZOO for Joomla 1.6. We have not yet fully embraced all of Joomla 1.6s new capabilities but this new framework will make it possible to take advantage of e.g. Joomlas ACL in a future update.
Today we are excited to announce that ZOO 2.3 has gone stable! A big thank you to all of our BETA testers! ZOO 2.3 is now available to the public for free. The new release is all about migrating from MooTools to jQuery. But there are lots of bugfixes and other improvements to explore.
