YOOtheme Pro Screencasts

Everyone learns differently. Some might prefer reading documentation in text form, others play around by themselves and many like visual explanations. For the ones who prefer videos, we have prepared a series to walk you through all sections of YOOtheme Pro. If you are a beginner who is just getting started or want a demonstration of the more subtle settings — we hope these videos are helpful to all of you.

You can find the 8 videos we have prepared on Youtube or directly linked in the separate sections of the YOOtheme Pro docs. The explanations start with an overview followed by all the single sections of the YOOtheme Pro Website Builder.

Overview

Have an introduction to the Website builder and the different controls you can find in its interface.

Layout

The Layout settings apply to your complete website, including the mobile view.

Style

Learn how to use the improved and simplified Style customizer to quickly change the appearance of your whole website.

The Builder

YOOtheme Pro comes with a powerful Page Builder. This video tells you everything you need to know to build a complete page in minutes.

Advanced Builder Settings

While it is easy to get started creating layouts with the Builder, there is a number of advanced settings available to fine-tune your layouts and grid options. In this video we go through them one by one.

Menus

Learn how to manage the Joomla menu items and their appearance directly from within the Website Builder.

Modules

See how to customize the appearance of modules on your page without leaving the Website Builder.

Settings

Add custom code to your website and learn what's new YOOtheme Pro in the Settings section. This video shows you how.

We hope you enjoy our video tutorials on YOOtheme Pro. If there are any further subjects you would like to get a tutorial about, please feel free to leave us a comment here.

    Thank you for those tutorials.
Is it asked for too much to get something like an overview about the next steps that PRO will take ?

One specifically on child themes and customisations would probably be useful to a lot of people.

How to get different looks for various pages if not included in the above i.e. like your Style but for specific pages.

how do I set up a footer menu to the footer position? in your video I can see, that you've created a footer menu, but there is in fact no position, you could asign it to... well I was trying this in wordpress but its actually the same problem - I know there is a widget position, but if I try adding the menu into that widgets position, it shows a corrupted "nav" instead of an footer edited ul. Do I have to create a footer css style by myself or something?

Go to Website Builder - Layout - Footer and add a subnav inside your section or add a grid and make a lists inside that grid. Videos will help you to understand the system of sections, rows and elements - there is no widget positions I think

Thanks, i know this procedure. But that way i would have to create each link "by hand" instead of creating and asigning a wordpress menu and therefore letting wordpress do the job.

Ok... if they did something like this you should also be able to activate and deactivate menu items that display in the footer as in most cases, at least me I do not need all menu items showing in the footer... I created them by manually in 5 minutes... but I guess if you have a huge amount of links or if you update your main menu a lot and do not want to update the URL's in two areas or more if you have a multi lingual site then that would make sense... they also have a site you can suggest ideas in a whishlist: https://yootheme.com/support/question/103519
