Yeah this is really frustrating. Any time one of my tweets includes an image, my website starts reporting on browsers as not completely secure!

I actually re-subscribed to YooTheme (after a number of months) thinking this would have been fixed, but nothing.

I have also reviewed these former solutions...

...but neither of those solutions now work as they reference file that don't appear to exist any more. I can't find the code that needs to be edited at all to solve this issue.

So first of all, thanks so much for the solution....that's great thanks!

I also confess to being frustrated that the solution is so straight forward, but YooTheme don't seem to have applied such a simple fix to WidgetKit?! This means having to hack files every time there is an update!

Oh...and for those that want to know where to find the file that claes.norin mentions, the path is...

administrator/components/com_widgetkit/plugins/content/twitter/src/TwitterOAuth.php

Thanks again,

Phil

Yep...emailed YooTheme about this thread and they replied back. I can confirm that the 2.9.8 version of WidgetKit has this issue solved...yay!
