Yootheme Pro - Builder can't save changes

So what's the deal with not being able to save changes from within Builder? Sometimes it works. Sometimes it doesn't. More often than not it just doesn't. I've tried different browsers (Mac Safari, Mac Chrome, Mac Firefox, Win Explorer, Win Chrome), clearing cache, different PHP versions - nothing. This appears to be a popular issue on the forums. Come on guys - let's keep our focus on the foundational stuff here. You're taking a great idea with "builder" and pissing off your client base by releasing incomplete solutions.

Anyone out there figured out how to solve this?

Hello together,
I am sorry for the late response,
do you need this script on all pages or only some specific ones?
When needed on all or nearly all pages I would recommend to add the HTML element into the footer with the script, this worked for me.

But when you need this one certain pages only this is not the correct solution. I will take this to the devs if they have a solution for this.

Update

Just tested this with multiple scripts on my local machine and here the saving still works as expected also with the script you showed above. Which browser and OS are you using?

Kind Regards
Philipp

Ok, figured out the problem though it'll probably take an update on the YOOtheme side to correct.

I'm using an HTML element within Builder. That HTML element contains an iframe that embeds a Cognito Form within the page. That iframe contains a <script> tag that is creating all the problems with saving. If I remove the <script> tag from the HTML then the save function works just fine. The problem is that I also need the <script> tags in order for the form to work the way I need it to.

YOOtheme - is there a work around for this issue, or will this need an update? Please advise.

I'll can give that a try, but I've checked and I'm still logged in with a valid session. This issue can happen right after logging in and attempting to edit an article via Builder - say less than 60 secs after a fresh login. I've dumped cache and started a new browser with no change to the randomness of being able to save after making even a small edit. I don't believe this has anything to do with timing out the session but I'll give it a try.

michael.anlauf - Sorry, my intention in voting it down was only to represent it as an option that didn't solve the issue. My apologies.

Hi paul.scarnegie,

I'm dealing with the same problem for a couple of weeks (save button keeps hidden / can't save any progress within the builder).
I can confirm the problem shows up after the use of any HTML elements. It really looks like this has something to do with the use of <script> tags!

There are many threats opened concerning this problem and I think this findings could be a breakthrough solving the issue.
Hopefully the Yootheme crew reads this topic and a bugfix will be near!

Cheers,
Vincent

Having the same problem. I can save while <script> is removed. But my save button does nothing when writing in a <script>.

I can't save if I import a layout. Sometimes, if I try importing the layout, then saving the layout, then reselecting the saved layout... it saves. But only sometimes. I've been disabling plugins, trying different browsers, clearing cache for 3 hours now. I've tried PHP 7.1, 7.0... Jooomla is up to date. I can't save almost everytime I try.

Why vote people down who are trying to help you? You didn't published a link to your site so all i could do was guessing.
Quote from the forum rules: "Vote an answer only down, if you think it is nonsense or or completely irrelevant."
Not to express personal frustration! Take it back please.
