Things you should explore first.
YOOtheme Pro is a powerful tool with many features to discover and explore. To get started right away, we recommend these first steps.
After you install one of the YOOtheme Pro themes, you can open the WordPress customizer via Appearance → Customize.
In the customizer navigation you can find additional panels just below the default WordPress ones. The YOOtheme Pro panels are explained in more detail in their respective chapters. To get started, check out the Overview.
Add a new YOOtheme Pro page by clicking on Pages → Add New → YOOtheme. A new draft page will be automatically created and saved. Adding a new YOOtheme page will open the WordPress customizer.
Edit any YOOtheme page in the WordPress admin area and click the YOOtheme Builder button.
Edit any Gutenberg page in the WordPress admin area and click the YOOtheme Builder button in the top left corner.
To get 1-click updates for YOOtheme Pro you have to configure your YOOtheme API key. Read the Updating documentation for more information.
A frequently asked question is how to assign widgets to different pages. We recommend to install the official WordPress plugin Jetpack, which offers this feature.
Note When using a YOOtheme Pro demo package, the Jetpack plugin is already installed but needs to be activated manually. Read more about it in the Installation documentation.
For modifications, it is recommended to use child themes. That way you can change theme files without the risk of losing your customizations while updating. You should never modify files directly in the
yootheme theme folder.
