Live Search

With Live Search, results will be shown as you type and get more precise as you continue typing. All you need to do is create a template for the Live Search and load the results dynamically into the page builder layout.

And there are so many layout options! You can search directly in the header and show the live results in a dropdown, or click a search icon to open the dropdown with the search and the results. It will look just like your menu dropdowns. Alternatively, you can show the search and its results in a full-width dropbar or a modal window. And there are more options to refine them even further. The search field itself can expand to fill the available space in the header, and you can show an optional search icon on the left or right. Of course, everything can look completely different in the mobile header.

And because the live search is built with the page builder, you have the full freedom to build any search layout possible. Load the search word, item count and the search results including their custom fields dynamically into any builder element. You can even show recommendations before users start typing, suggest helpful alternatives when no results are found, or display different post types separately with their own custom fields.

You can also exclude specific post types from search altogether. In WordPress, simply limit the search to selected post types. In Joomla, choose a filter from Smart Search.
