WAI-ARIA attributes help assistive technologies understand and operate interactive components on a website. YOOtheme Pro automatically adds the relevant roles, states and properties, so components communicate their purpose, current state and available interactions to screen readers.

Interactive JavaScript components like accordions, tabs, sliders, slideshows, lightbox galleries, modals, offcanvas panels and dropdown menus include the required WAI-ARIA attributes in the generated markup. This keeps their behavior readable and predictable for assistive technologies without extra setup.

YOOtheme Pro also adds helpful ARIA labels where necessary, for example for form controls, the search field, the logo link, breadcrumbs and comments. For custom links, you can define an aria-label manually directly in the page builder.
