Interactive Maps

The Map element brings Google Maps and OpenStreetMap directly into the YOOtheme Pro page builder. Choose a roadmap or satellite view, show or hide map controls, and decide whether visitors can zoom and drag the map. With Google Maps, you can also adjust the map colors to match your site's design.

Bring each location to life with a popup showing a title, image, description and link. Give markers custom icons to distinguish different types of places or reflect your brand. For maps with many locations, group nearby markers into clusters that expand as visitors click or zoom in. Automatically fit all markers into view so visitors see every location at a glance.

For directories and other location-based collections, bring different kinds of listings together on one map, from accommodations and restaurants to points of interest. Load their locations dynamically from Joomla or WordPress content instead of maintaining every marker by hand. In Joomla, use the YOOtheme Pro's location field to pick coordinates directly on a map. In WordPress, use the Google Map field from ACF. When ever a location has changed, the map updates automatically, keeping even large collections easy to manage.

Maps are lazy loaded by default, so external scripts and map tiles only load when the map enters the viewport. This speeds up the initial page load and reduces data transfer. With the Cookie Consent Manager, Google Maps and OpenStreetMap can stay blocked until visitors give consent. A customizable privacy placeholder preserves the layout and lets visitors load the map with a click.
