System Elements

System elements help visitors navigate your site and posts, find content through search, and access standalone content like WordPress widgets and Joomla modules. They adapt to the page where they are used, collapsing automatically when they have no content to display. Each element offers dedicated options to tailor its functionality and appearance to your layout.

The Breadcrumbs element shows users where they are in the site structure and provides a clear path back to higher-level pages. In Joomla, it uses the native breadcrumb pathway, while in WordPress, YOOtheme Pro generates the breadcrumb structure automatically from page hierarchies and post taxonomies, providing the same navigation experience across both platforms.

The Pagination element adds previous/next or numeric navigation to single posts, archives and search results. In Joomla, navigation between articles automatically stays within the same category. YOOtheme Pro brings similar behavior to WordPress that lets you navigate only between posts from the same term.

WordPress also has a Comments element that brings its native commenting functionality directly into page builder templates. Use it for comments on single posts or for WooCommerce product reviews and ratings, all with the same element.

The Menu element displays an existing WordPress or Joomla menu, or a taxonomy such as categories as a menu. Show its items as a multi-level sidebar menu, a collapsible accordion menu, or a horizontal dropdown menu.

The Search element adds a customizable search input anywhere in your layouts. Choose different sizes and optionally add a search icon that can also submit the search. In Joomla, a separate Search Ordering element lets users sort results by relevance, date or title.

In WordPress, the Widget element renders an existing widget anywhere in your layout, while the Area element displays all widgets assigned to a widget area. Joomla provides the equivalent Module and Position elements. Arrange multiple widgets or modules side by side or stack them vertically.
