UIkit Frontend Framework

YOOtheme Pro is built entirely with the open-source frontend framework UIkit. It provides more than 70 components for common interface elements, layouts, navigation, responsive utilities and JavaScript-powered interactions.

Simply add UIkit classes in the page builder for quick customizations, or use UIkit attributes to introduce functionality and interactions without writing custom JavaScript. Enter them in the corresponding element fields, or write complete UIkit markup in articles and content fields. Everything automatically adopts the YOOtheme Pro style, including its colors, fonts, spacing and overall appearance, and stays in sync whenever the style is changed in the style editor.

UIkit becomes even more powerful when building your own YOOtheme Pro extensions with the Starter Plugin. For example, when creating custom page builder elements, UIkit significantly reduces implementation time by taking care of much of the frontend groundwork. You can even develop your own HTML/CSS components and register their styling properties in the style editor, giving your customers the flexibility to customize their appearance directly in YOOtheme Pro. And if you use UIkit's interactive JavaScript components, you also get keyboard navigation and WAI-ARIA attributes, so you can focus on your feature instead of recreating complex interface patterns from scratch. This shared foundation helps you ship polished extensions faster with less custom CSS and JavaScript while ensuring everything feels native to YOOtheme Pro.
