Community Extensions Roundup 2022-2023
Today, we want to celebrate over 50 new third party extensions for YOOtheme Pro published in the last 18 months. This means, the overall number of YOOtheme Pro extensions doubled since the last extension roundup. It's amazing, and really makes us proud! We now have over 120 free and commercial extensions, elements, sources and integrations on our YOOtheme Pro Extensions page! Let's see what's new!
Make sure to subscribe to our YouTube channel and join our Discord Chat Server for all news and discussions.
Growing Ecosystem
When we started the Extensions page, we wanted to create a central place where developers can share their work and promote their extensions. We are really excited that this opened the door for so many small businesses. Long-time YOOtheme Pro extension developers like ZOOlanders, Cloudfood, Joomla Pro and Flart Studio established a sustainable business within the YOOtheme Pro ecosystem. Some of them now work full time on their extensions. And today we want to introduce even more newcomers offering extensions for YOOtheme Pro.
Kicktemp
Let's start with Kicktemp. Niels and Stefan are well-known in the Joomla community, and you can meet them at nearly every Joomla event in Germany. Now they also offer commercial extensions, elements and sources for YOOtheme Pro and Joomla. For example, there is a Form element to create a custom submission with spam protection, an exit intent popup to retain visitors before they leave the site, Joomla core sources for contacts and banners as well as an extended file source which loads files depending on the current article. There are also elements to add Open Graph metadata or structured data as JSON-LD as well as newsletter signups for rapidmail and Brevo.
ZOOlanders
Next up are Zoolanders. They are the bedrock of YOOtheme Pro developers and offer the powerful Essentials for YOOtheme Pro extension with its popular form builder. Last year, they introduced the advanced dynamic content workflow which allows you to create global database queries and map different content sources within a single element. Speaking of sources, there are new additions to their source manager – Vimeo, RSS Feed, Facebook and Twitter aka X. And finally, they offer a free integration with K2 which you can download on GitHub. This is a perfect example for how to add YOOtheme Pro template support and custom sources for other Joomla content extensions like K2. Simply next-level, these Essentials!
Flart Studio
While Zoolanders focus more on extensions, Flart Studio is the place to go if you need powerful and sophisticated elements, which are constantly improved with new features! For example, they updated their Grid Pro, Switcher Pro and Table Pro elements with sublayouts, nested grids, modal builder, and so much more. They also released two new extensions. You can extend the column option of all core builder and Flart Studio elements with up to 24 columns and create over 100 shape dividers for builder sections. Definitely a must-have!
Joomla Pro
The most new extensions and elements last year are from Joomla Pro. They created a really cool Audio Player Pro element to show a playlist of songs, a Weather element showing current and forecasted weather as well as Accordion Pro and Slideshow Pro elements where you can show a Joomla module or a whole YOOtheme Pro section in the content field of the item. They also offer an integration with Events Booking from Joomdonation, so you can create templates for all pages and load events as a custom source. And there are two new DOCman or jDownloads sources, among many other extensions and elements, so make sure to check them out.
Cloudfood
One of the first developers on our Extensions page, Cloudfood, released 5 new elements. There is a Step Form element which allows you to create a custom step submission form with a progress bar and spam protection, an infinite image slider with a looping animation and a chart element to display your data in animated charts among others.
Modern Designs
Another newcomer on our Extensions page is Modern Designs by Josh Gilson. Apart from the RSForms Selector element, they also offer two very useful elements if you want to sell some products without using an Ecommerce solution – PayPal Smart Buttons and Stripe Checkout elements. This way you can create a simplified checkout for your site. You can also add additional margins to your layout with the Spacer element or display a button with a dropdown.
DJ Extensions
This one you are probably familiar with - DJ Extensions. They created an advanced search filter with 9 form elements that can be used on any YOOtheme Pro page. Articles can be filtered by categories and custom fields and have a pagination. It's really powerful and a must-have if you have a large directory of articles with custom fields. They also offer an integration for their own DJ-Classifieds extension to design and template its ads and listing pages. And there is a popup extension that can turn any builder section into a popup or a modal that can be triggered on page load, scroll, click or hover.
BlueCoder
But we have one more filter extension. Sakis from BlueCoder developed an integration for his own JFilters extension which allows you to filter articles by custom fields, categories and tags. Now you can design the JFilters results page with the YOOtheme Pro page builder.
ruhe.potential
Next up is ruhe.potential who created a GDPR compliance extension that integrates Usercentrics cookie banner. It allows you to collect consent and block external services and even prevent YOOtheme Pro third-party scripts from being preloaded until consent is given.
YOOmustADD
Another newcommer is YOOmustADD who created two extensions for WordPress. You can add a grid with the favorite button for posts or custom post types as well as display the login and register forms that can be customized directly in the style customizer.
More Developers, More Extensions
But that is not all, we have even more new extensions and elements for YOOtheme Pro. There is a DPCalendar Integration by Digital Peak, so you can use the YOOtheme Pro builder to design your DPCalendar pages. And we have two more free extensions on GitHub. With a Spacer element you can add vertical space between elements in pixels, and with the Element Context extension for WordPress, you have a small condition extension to show or hide builder elements or their items depending on the page, language, or custom URLs.
And that's our community extensions roundup. We are extremely proud of all the new additions to the YOOtheme Pro ecosystem! We even created dedicated channels on Discord for each extension provider where you can get all the news and chat with the developers. And now it's your turn to explore our Extensions page and find something for your next project 😉 If you are thinking about creating an extension for YOOtheme Pro or are already working on one, let us know, and get it on our Extensions page and into the roundup.
