Welcome to 2018 YOO family! Following our tradition we would like to make a small recap of everything that has happened and what we achieved last year. 2017 was all about rewriting UIkit and improving our new website builder YOOtheme Pro. We are very grateful for yet another successful year!
Last month we had the pleasure to co-organize and host the Hamburg Vue.js meetup in our YOOtheme office. It was a great opportunity for Vue.js enthusiasts and everyone who is interested in the JavaScript framework Vue.js to come together.
This year's JoomlaDay Germany took place in Königstein near Frankfurt on September 22. Joomla fans from all over Germany came to celebrate this event, exchange experiences and just have fun among friends. What made this day even more special for YOOtheme was that we had the opportunity to be a silver sponsor again, and two of our colleagues delivered presentations! Besides that, we got to meet old friends and to make new ones.

It's time for this year's CMS Critic Awards. And guess what? YOOtheme was nominated as Best Theme Provider! First of all, we would like to thank everyone who supported us.
This year JoomlaDay Germany will take place in Königstein near Frankfurt. On September 22 Joomla fans are going to gather for this community event and enjoy two days of talks from great speakers. YOOtheme will be there not only as a silver sponsor but also to deliver two presentations!
YOOtheme will be contributing two talks to the interesting and diverse program. On Friday we will present our flagship, the website builder YOOtheme Pro and go into detail on some of its latest features. The second talk will present UIkit 3 beta and the evolution it has undergone, explaining the differences from its predecessor. Both talks will be held in German.
After our presentations we will answer questions and stay around for a chat. So, join us in Königstein. We are looking forward to seeing lots of you in a couple of weeks!
Drum roll for the winners of this year’s 10 year anniversary competition! It has been overwhelming to receive so many exciting pictures from all over the world.
We are really impressed that our I♥YOO Logo traveled around to Australia, China, Russia, Italy and who knows where else. Some of the entries were so funny that they made us laugh out loud. Not everyone would dive into an icy lake (sorry we had to cut out your dog) or put on self-made YOOtheme swag. So, we had a hard time picking our favorite 10, but in the end we came to a choice. Congratulations to the winners! All ten of you win a membership and a special YOOtheme package. You will receive a notification by email today as well.

This year is our tenth birthday! 10 years! It's hard to believe – for some of us it feels as if it were yesterday that we launched YOOtheme in January 2007 with this post. A few of you may remember the Smoove theme, which was some kind of breakthrough for us. Ten years later the web has changed completely and we're grateful not just for having been around that long but also for being able to grow and create exciting stuff for Joomla and WordPress. We are proud to be part of their ecosystems and also of our own two Open Source projects UIkit and Pagekit. We look back at a decade full of releases, milestones and fond memories.
Happy new year everyone! We hope you had enjoyable holidays and a good start into 2017. As always, we would like to begin the year by looking back at the past twelve months and review what has happened in the world of YOOtheme, the goals we achieved and what is to come in the near future. It has been quite a year! The Pagekit 1.0 release in spring was the first big milestone of 2016 for us and the second one came in autumn with the launch of YOOtheme Pro.
Last week we had our first Joomla User Group Hamburg and YOOtheme meetup, hosting about 38 attendees here in our offices. It was a great opportunity for everyone interested in YOOtheme Pro and Joomla to take part and ask questions directly to the designers and developers of YOOtheme Pro.
YOOtheme Pro has been out for a few weeks now. Together with the Joomla user group of Hamburg, we'd like to take this opportunity and organize a meetup. For this event, we are inviting you to visit us at our Hamburg offices.
