YOOtheme Pro adds a huge style library

This month we are mixing things up a bit. Instead of a new theme release we are thrilled to present to you another milestone in the development of YOOtheme Pro: The Style library! It offers a huge range of color variations for existing Pro styles and helps you to easily change the appearance of your whole website. The library has access to all Pro styles that have been released so far and new color variations will be added with every theme release. Take also a look at our YOOtheme Pro 1.8 to learn more about all the new features.

You can search and filter all of these to give you the best fit for your page. With each theme you are able to choose between six lovingly created styles. This means that you have the power of 45+ color variations. Let's say you already have a vague idea of what your web project should look like but need some guidance. The easy-to-use library helps you pick the right look. Just navigate to the Style section in the website builder and click on the select field. The Style library opens and you can filter the available styles by background color, primary color or type.

Fuse Styles

Horizon Styles

Max Styles

Joline Styles

Fjord Styles

Sonic Styles

Copper Hill Styles

Vibe Styles

Juno Styles

The Style library is part of the latest YOOtheme Pro release. We also reworked all element settings and added a new link picker. Learn more about it in our YOOtheme Pro 1.8 blog post. Have fun exploring the new styles and let us know what you think in the comments below.

I played around with the style library and I agree that it will be a useful tool for many.

I am disappointed that there wasn't a new theme released this month. I was looking forward to some concrete examples of how the builder module could be used. While I have read the documentation and experimented I am still a bit fuzzy on its implementation.

It seems that the style library shouldn't have taken up an entire development cycle. Perhaps YooTheme has been working on something complex and felt it needed extra attention before revealing it in a future release.

We have worked on the style library with our team for the past three weeks, but you will definitely see more of how the builder module works soon.

When signing up for template membership I don't remember reading anything about getting "styles" instead of new templates. Yootheme Pro still missing slideshow component if I'm not mistaken, Uikit still in beta...

Maybe not on topic but using a slideshow on your webpage is (always) a bad idea.

95% of users looks at the first slide and then directly scroll down - that's a fact and maybe web designers should think about that and transmit user behaviour to their customers and make fast websites instead of "fancy" slideshows nobody looks at :-)

Uikit slideshow can also be used for navigation purposes elsewhere... not just for a "fancy" slider. Think about lightbox gallery navigation (which still isn't available sadly).
The bottom line is that we shouldn't tell others what is and isn't done and let people decide for themselves what they like. Ultimately if my client wants a slider I should be able to make one.

If all of you are saying that sliders should not be at the top of a landing page, then yes, I agree. If you are saying that sliders are completely useless and doesn't need to be included as an element in builder, I'd ask that you broaden you perspective. Also, though no one has mentioned it, I am aware that there are modules that can be used in place of a builder element, but I love Yootheme Pro so far, and people I've shown it to really "get it". So when they ask 'how do I insert a slideshow for product pages with builder', I don't like having to say... 'oh, it's coming eventually, but until them here's a totally separate module that will work, but you'll probably want to replace at some point.'

For product pages Sllieshows are useful agree ...slidesets as well - but missing too..oh and a lightbox for the gallery or products... load more function would also be nice or a parallax where you can actually move more than one object... I love the concept of the builder but just too many things are missing right now and to me adding uikit2 script is not a solution...and if they keep up the speed of development it probably takes another year until all those things will be included...

I think you guys do an awesome job here! Some people seem a little disappointed, and rightly so. They have come to expect great things from you and for good reason. I have always and will always appreciate what you guys do here! Love the new idea of styles! Already excited to dive in and try this! Cheers!

Although I can't be disappointed with YooThemePro overall (it is spectacular!) I am disappointed not to get new layouts this month.

In fact I'm happy not to get "a new template" every month... but I'd prefer "layouts" rather than "styles".

Styles are very specific... i.e. I would generally make a bespoke style for each client... but a really good blog layout, in fact a selection of blog layouts, would be more useful... as the style I've set up will work with that layout.

It would be cool to have say, 5 about layouts, 5 blog layouts, 5 product layouts... regardless of styles.

Great work on these though. :)

For instance... Since YooThemPro was released I've been busy incorporating some of the views into custom ZOO apps for use inside our usual Content Management Structures. Clients love it.

At the moment, we're building our own layouts, but they are never as inspired as yours, YooTheme! More layouts please! :)

Hang on, those 'weak minds' as you have called them have been incredibly polite and constructive in their complains and make good points. We're all paying customers here and they have every right to make these complaints if they feel aggrieved.

Well I might been a bit too angry on people complaining. I just become very tired when YOOtheme is trying quite hard to add all features. Having some extra color styles is great for showing websites for clients and for inspiration.

This is amazing! Creating good color combinations is very hard, much harder than you'd think.

We already had the layouts, with the new colors the possibilities are endless.

I would have liked some typographic variations as well, but other than that, I really love the update!

And what about a news or magazine site? I will not renew my subscription until PRO offers me this option. Sofar all PRO themes (or should I say 'styles'?) look the same: one or more big photographs with very limited positions. And ZOO?

YES. It's literally been since 2011. Six years is an eternity. Or course, it means yoo guys did an excellent job of developing something that would last over the years. BUT, I mean come on guys...let's do this!

Wow - never seen so many negative posts.

Maybe I use YOOTheme Pro a bit differently to everyone else. For me its basically a ready to go UIKit installation. I almost never use one of the "Themes" - but just dive straight in and start styling UIKit for my clients branding, and then start building. Then I use UIKit to really lay everything out in HTML elements if I can't just throw in an element.

Anyway - just surprises me that people even care anymore. I'm a subscriber to get a solid framework to work in - not for monthly "themes".

I think if you guys focus more on building up the core of YOOTheme Pro and its features/funcitons I'd be happier than a new look every month.

    Just my 2 cents.

    Thanks guys!

It seems YOOtheme is one step ahead of few users here, again. I read about the same complains when YOOTheme Pro was released. At the end it showed YOOTheme Pro is a very useful tool to use. Is it perfect? Definitely not! For, it is still work in progress and it seems it will stay that way for a while. I hope for ever.

New themes every month for sure are good displays of what YOOTheme Pro is capable off and to display new tools, but other than that is useless. Unless you are after easy money and like to give someone else's work to your customers and then boast how good you are.

When you upload themes page, then have to delete the content, change some of the layout, adjust colors to your liking (even though this is pretty easy to do in YOOTheme Pro), then in my humble opinion it is better to have 45 New styles, versus a new template, that will save even more time, and allow our mind to focus on creativity, versus coding.

Well done YooTheme! You did it again!

Subscribers pay for a theme every month. That is/was the term of the deal. If a month passes with a new theme being released then that is basically shortchanging people for what they paid for. It is what it is.

There is nowhere on our website or in our terms of use stated that we will release a new theme each month. These are just our own high standards that we want to live up to. This month we released something much bigger which cost much more time to develop as the usual release.

You should get used to it. There will be month in the future which will be similar.

If you don't want to use our products anymore, you can have a full refund.

As usual, the styles look great. Although there are not 45 styles but 9 styles with 4 different color schemes. That's not a problem.

The problem is that none of these styles are optimal for ecommerce or lead generation landing pages out of the box. For years you guys have made beautiful themes that are great for "business card" type websites but it seems like nobody on your team has ever run a website that has to compete for conversions. I like the look of your product and I hope this is something you can address because it has caused me to begin using other competitive products and I'm probably not alone.
