Parent Sources
Set a content source once and reuse it across all elements inside a layout container to keep dynamic layouts consistent and easy to update.
Parent sources make dynamic layouts easier to manage in YOOtheme Pro. Instead of selecting the same content source for multiple elements, assign it once to a section, row, column or element and use it as a parent source for everything inside.
When the source changes, all connected elements update together. This keeps layouts consistent, saves setup time and reduces database queries because the same source does not need to be loaded repeatedly.
Parent sources also provide the foundation for more advanced dynamic layouts, where repeated layout parts and related content can use the current item from the parent container.
A parent source is visually indicated in the builder with a p status icon, making it easy to see when elements are using data from a parent container.
