Teaser Field
Present teaser text consistently across your layouts, with flexible fallbacks that adapt to your content.
YOOtheme Pro adds a teaser field for dynamic content, making it easier to map article teasers such as excerpts and intro text into your layouts.
By default, it loads the excerpt field and falls back to the intro text if the excerpt is empty. If no intro text is available, it displays the full post content instead. This makes it easy to tease articles on a blog page without mapping multiple fields or creating complicated fallback conditions.
You also don’t have to worry about different text lengths. Simply set a character limit and optionally preserve words to keep article teasers consistent across your layout.
On the single post page, you can use the teaser field to separate the main content from the excerpt or intro text, for example, to style them differently or display the post image between them.
